Aside from a general 3-year warranty on all our devices, pumpt also offers insurance and servicing options for your device. This is to ensure that your device gets further protection for years to come.

Our insurance includes fire, theft and physical damage protection while our servicing options include annual check-ups from our experienced engineer to make sure that everything is in tip-top shape.

Each purchase, regardless if it’s financed or fully paid, covers the cost of the charger itself, materials and installation by a qualified engineer. If you include insurance or servicing in your plan, we’ll also cover repair and a yearly check-up
– which is all included in the cost!

We strongly do not recommend installing the EV charger yourself as it requires electrical expertise. Each purchase includes the cost of a professional electrician to ensure your safety and the proper working conditions of your charger.

Yes, you can add annual insurance and servicing after purchase! This is so our customers won’t have to worry in case you didn’t include it at the initial check-out. 3-year advanced insurance and servicing packages can be purchased in full for an xx% discount or added to your existing finance plan to spread your payments over months or years.

We strongly do not recommend installing the EV charge yourself as it requires a qualified electrician. Each purchase includes the cost of professional installation to ensure your safety and the proper working conditions of your charger.

A typical installation takes around 2-4 hours and all aspects are taken care of by one of our friendly engineers. Complications can make the process longer and answering the initial survey as honestly as possible will help avoid this.

Your product will be sent directly to your home via courir. Kindly provide the received unit to the installer for installation.

Our experienced engineers will ensure that installation is done properly before they leave. However, in the rare case that something goes wrong, feel free to call us at xxx or chat directly with our support team at pumpt.io and we’ll do our best to resolve the matter as efficiently as possible.

Yes. The unit you purchased is yours, however, an installer will have to come and disconnect the unit and an engineer will have to reinstall it at your new residence. For assistance on this matter, please feel free to contact customer support so we can advise you of the process and cost.

EV Chargers are largely self-contained units and designed to work trouble-free for at least 3 years, however, it would be advisable to have an engineer check the unit and its parts at least once a year, ensuring you encounter no surprises when you need the charger the most. Pumpt offers a servicing add-on to your plan that ensures a once-a-year check-up by one of our engineers.

EV chargers work by taking an EV charging device that connects to your main consumer/fuse box. A socket is available on the device that, in turn, connects to your car via an appropriate cable. The charger comes with smart features over wifi that allow you to start charging from your mobile and let us monitor the device’s working condition. Chargers vary with their outputs and these affect the total time to charge your car.

kW means kilowatt, which is a measure of how much power an electrical appliance consumes.

Yes! Pumpt can supply 22kW EV chargers on premises with 3-phase power. These are commonly known as fast chargers due to their powerful output and can charge EVs in as little as 4-6 hours.
These chargers are great for homes, businesses, charging stops and offices that have or cater to multiple EVs. In most cases, a normal charger will work for most residences, however, having a three-phase electricity supply can give you the advantage of fast charging.

Yes! All Pumpt EV chargers come with a 3yr product warranty in the unlikely event of a fault. It does not cover normal wear and tear, nor does it cover misuse or acts of nature. Insurance for business customers can cover fire damage, theft or any physical damage and can be added to your purchase.

Choosing the right EV charger to buy will depend on several factors such as your electricity supply (single or three-phase supply) car model, power output, etc.

While we have engineered our products to work with all types of homes and businesses across the UK, our product is what is known as a “Smart” EV charger” meaning it can be controlled to work with national grid limitations and requirements from your energy supplier.

Costs to run the charger will be dependent on your energy tariff from your energy supplier, and consumption levels, but, electric charges cost less than traditional petrol or diesel. As our units are home and business chargers, you can estimate costs on a per kilowatt basis, depending on how much and when you use it.

Yes! Pumpt works with individual consumers, and businesses and can provide bulk installations if needed. Simply follow the same process as a home installation, or send us an email for bulk orders.

Yes, our only request is that our installer has clear access to your electrical consumer/fuse box and that’s it!

In most cases, you won’t need planning permission to install your EV charger, provided the charger is installed within the category of permitted development rights. This depends on where you are and where you wish to install your charger. In some cases, you may need permission from landlords or freeholders of your building or land. Pumpt does not include this in our process, so we strongly urge you to check beforehand.

Yes! We do! Unlike other providers, Pumpt wants to help our customers go electric as soon as possible, regardless of budget. Customers can choose their finance package in step 2 of the process.

Our standard installation package comes with all the bells and whistles of getting your charger up, running and protected for its lifetime. This includes:
-A friendly engineer fitting the chargepoint to a wall or dedicated structure. We can install them on brick or plaster.
-Pumpt will provide up to 5 metres of power cable that directly connects the device to a distribution board or electricity supply meter
-Our engineers will also fit and test the connections and protections of the device
We will also provide up to 5 metres of white/black plastic conduit to protect the wires

We provide several finance packages for residential and commercial customers. Aside from being able to pay in full at the point of check-out, you can pay interest-free in 4 monthly payments. We’re also the first EV charging company in the UK that also lets you create a custom finance package where you can spread payments in monthly instalments over 1-4 years with low-interest rates. We’ve made sure to make our chargers affordable for any budget and you can bundle insurance and servicing to the monthly cost.
